Along with baseball plays that involve catching the ball bare-handed, I believe I have discovered more solid evidence of a higher power:

I have children. I love them. I also love They Might Be Giants.

They Might Be Giants have infiltrated the world of my children and it delights me to no end. We listen to Here Come the 123s and Here Come The ABCs. The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme Song (as well as Hot Dog!) is sung by TMBG. I am going to introduce Flood soon. My kids are going to be the coolest nerdy kids on the block. TMBG is going to be, like, vintage nerdy, which elevates it to some new level of ironic coolness, right?

This album (123s) should be the most acclaimed kids' album EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE. Buy it. You will like it, even if you're not simply relieved that it means you don't have to listen to Barney for a while.
